Lot 1642: Sold for £250 hammer

A printed wooden Passendale [sic] sign in arrow directional shape, white on slate blue, bears label to the reverse 'The is the original sign brought back from the front by novelist Henry Williamson a serving officer. It came into the possession of Daily Express editor Denier Marks (William's friend) and when Marks died the sign was taken this office to be dumped. I rescued it from that fate', 114cm x 20cm.

Condition report
This is possibly a replica sign post 1950's please, would all prospective buyers satisfy themselves to the originality of the sign before bidding.
