A Japanese bronze 'goose' jardiniere, Meiji Period (1868-1912), modelled as a series of ten geese cast forming the body of the jardiniere, all raised on webbed feet supports, the exterior finely cast with feather designs, signed, height 35cm, diameter 32cm.

PROVENANCE - Part of a private collection and thence by descent.
good overall patination indicative of age.
Two of the leg supports appear to have old repairs.
Noticeable wear and verdigris to the interior well.
