An early 20th Century Chinese black lacquered tea caddy of sarcophagus form, on carved dragon supports, detailed in gilt depicting figural scenes, the hinged cover revealing two pewter canisters, height 15cm, width 22cm and depth 17cm.

Condition report
The two pewter canisters to the interior are in used condition, they both show dents to all sides and wear to the relief areas. The box shows scuffing and wear to the underside where the canisters have been resting. Wear to the gilt throughout, noticeable at the cover, where it has faded slightly. All feet have a little wear. Wear is consistent with age and use.
