A pair of Edwardian mahogany salon open armchairs with ivory and satinwood inlay, detailed with lyres and foliate scroll detail to the central splats, above upholstered seats and square tapered front legs with spade feet, S/D. (2) <p> Subject to CITES regulations. Due to the ivory content of these chairs, this lot will require a re-export permit if shipped outside the mainland UK.
Condition report
The chairs have been restored. They have been re-upholstered and the fabric and braided borders are tidy.
There has been some loss to the inlay to the back splat of one of the chairs and this has been infilled and polished.
