NB - The Egg Chair was originally designed by Arne Jacobsen together with his famous Swan Chair as part of the furnishings for the lobby area of the SAS Royal Hotel, Copenhagen.

This chair and stool are offered for sale as works of art. They may not comply with the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) Safety Regulations 1988 and for this reason should not be used in a private dwelling.

Condition report
The colour of the leather has faded but is generally in good condition, with no apparent splits or tears. The foam within the chair appears to be solid and has not crumbled. There are some dents to the back of the chair. There is a dent to the top edge of the back of the chair. Provenance - Consigned from the estate of a mid 20th Century design collector. Purchased early to mid 1990s from Michael Marks of 20th Century Marks, specialist dealer in 20th Century fine art and mid 20th Century design.
