An early 20th Century enamel advertising sign for W.D. & H.O. Wills 'Wild Woodbine Cigarettes', issued by the Imperial Tobacco Company, white lettering on a blue ground, height 92cm and width 46cm, S/D. Provenance - This sign was discovered as a 'barn find' in the local Wyre Forest area.
Condition report
Some enamel loss and corrosion all over. The top corners are most heavily worn. Old fixing holes to the edges, but the right hand edge has holed due to corrosion. Some horizontal stained band type marks across the sign. There has been no later over-painting or restoration. Consigned to auction sale together with several other signs from the same source - A genuine local 'barn find'.
