A Japanese ivory Okimono, Meiji Period (1868-1912), modelled as a windswept elderly man wearing robes and a Kasa hat, mounted on a carved wooden base, height 16.5cm. Subject to CITES regulations, this lot will require a re-export permit if shipped outside the mainland UK.

Condition report
Crack to base, approximately 3cm in length. Section missing to the back of the hat. Slight yellow indicative of age to the ivory. Subject to CITES regulations, this lot will require a re-export permit if shipped outside the mainland UK.
