A pair of late 20th Century walnut veneered and parquetry inlaid bombe fronted commode chests in the French taste, with decorative gilt metal mounts, each fitted with a single deep drawer beneath a serpentine fronted veined black marble top, height 88cm, width 124cm and depth 53cm, S/D. (2)
Condition report
The marble tops are OK, as are the gilt metal mounts and handles. However there is some splitting to the veneers to the sides and drawer fronts of both chests.
