A post war composed dining suite designed by W.H. Russell for Gordon Russell Furniture, comprising a model R123 American black walnut extending rectangular dining table with single insert leaf, raised to chamfered legs, bearing manufacturer's paper label stating design number R123, date January 1963, materials American black walnut, cabinet maker H.M.P Robertson and designer W.H. Russell F.S.I.A, height 73cm, width 97cm and length 183cm (closed) and 246cm extended, two X.6409 carver chair and five X.6408 side chairs and a GR-A walnut sideboard fitted with an arrangement of three central drawers flanked by a cupboard at either side, stamped to the rear, height 86cm, width 141cm and depth 49cm. (8) The chairs in this lot are offered for sale as works of art. They may not comply with the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) Safety Regulations 1988 and for this reason should not be used in a private dwelling.

Condition report
Generally in very good condition considering its age. There are a few minor dents and light scratches to the table commensurate with age. The chairs have been re-upholstered in green dralon and the upholstery is clean and tidy. Some minor dents to the top of the sideboard. The chairs in this lot are offered for sale as works of art. They may not comply with the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) Safety Regulations 1988 and for this reason should not be used in a private dwelling.
