A late 18th Century unframed sampler worked by Martha Mate dated 1794, with the Lords Prayer, above pictorial panels and verse, 43cm x 33cm, together with a smaller unframed needlework sampler worked by Harriet Skelton, Middlewood April 1825, with the alphabet and repeat panels of pattern, 22.5cm x 23cm, both S/D, an early 20th Century blue velvet box, likely a chocolate box, a 1930s Art Deco powder compact with faux shagreen and stepped cube design and a small silver plated photograph frame with a needlework landscape. (5)

Condition report
Both samplers have moth holes and small holes. Colours are good. The frame has lost the easel. The box is slightly worn and the lid is warped.
