Lot 377: Sold for £200 hammer

A late 19th Century Thomas Webb & Sons Cameo glass plaque, the plaque of oval section cased in opal over ruby and cut with two putti holding harebells while on a cloud, 11.5cm x 8cm, A/F.  Consigned from a local private collection this was thought to be a later example of George Woodalls cameo work.

Condition report
The panel has been broken in two to the upper section through the body and head of the two figures, the panel has been mounted to a velvet background within metal clips but does move. When taken out the clips there are remnants of glue from where it was originally stuck down.
