A George III hallmarked silver twin handled horse racing trophy cup in the Adam's style with acanthus capped scroll handles, central presentation inscription declaring the winner of a 100 guinea race held in Lichfield, Staffordshire on 26th August 1777 to one side and a study of a horse and jockey to the other, all below conforming cover with pineapple finial, total weight 65oz, height 42cm, London 1778, Charles Wright.

In good condition with no dents or splits, hallmarks clear to cup and cover.
