A set of eight early 20th Century light oak Chartwell chairs by Heal and Son Ltd, each with a shaped top rail above lattice backs drop-in seats and H-form stretcher frames, comprising two carver chairs and six standard or side chairs, with Heals roundel labels to the seat rails (one label missing), S/D. (8) NB - The Chartwell chair was originally designed by Ambrose Heal and Philip Tilden for Winston Churchill's residence of the same name.   Provenance - Consigned to auction sale from the Cadbury's chocolate factory. These chairs had been in use as part of the boardroom furniture.

Condition report
Structurally sound with no play to the frames, but there is some hairline cracking to the tops of the front legs in places. The seat pads have been replaced. There is a roundel label missing from a carver chair.
