Lot 607: Sold for £50 hammer

Estimate £100-£150

A large late 19th Century Minton Art Nouveau jardiniere and pedestal stand decorated in the Seccessionist style with tubelined red flowers and foliage against a pale mustard ground with a floral pattern, applied and impressed marks with date code for circa 1872, total height 104cm (jardiniere height 35cm, pedestal height 59cm), A/F.

Condition report
The pedestal is broken to the foot with a piece missing and a loose section. It still stands, but is quite a considerable section. Both have crazing, glaze scuffs and marks. The jardiniere has quite heavy water limescale staining to the interior and in patches to the exterior.
