A late 19th to early 20th Century taxidermy head study of a juvenile gharial or gavial crocodile (Gavialis gangeticus) with inset glass eyes, mounted to a shield backed bracket shelf, the bracket indistinctly stamped, length of head 34cm, the bracket measuring 49cm high and 15cm wide. Provenance - Taken by the present owner's grandfather when he served in the army in India, circa 1900.

Condition report
There are a few teeth missing, but otherwise appears to be in a good condition.
