An early 20th Century Indian Zardozi type square embroidered panel or table cover worked with a central foliate roundel surrounded by a patterned border framed with a running border, the corners with patterned points and a teardrop border, worked in pink and mint green threads with tilla work gold threads and Buprestidae beetle shells (or jewel beetles), 82cm square.

Condition report
The colours are strong and vivid - it has been rolled in tissue paper, I'm told by the vendor, for many years. There is a small patch stain to the very edge of one corner.
