Condition report
Amended condition report - The chest has at some point been restored and has had some later alterations as per the description. The top panel of the chest is a later replacement. There are some old splits to each side that have at some point been filled, but are still evident. The carved detail is later. The drawer handles are later additions. The rear legs of the stand have at some point been turned around, presumably to facilitate standing against a wall. There is some splitting to one of the rear legs. There is evidence of old woodworm flight holes to the frame of the chest and to the back boards. The chest has been re-polished in a high gloss finish.
