A 1940s Wilkinson toby (or character) jug of Winston Churchill modelled by Clarice Cliff, he in a blue uniform with black tricorn hat seated on a bulldog draped in a Union Jack holding a battleship, the base inscribed And May God Defend The Right, and Going into Action to the reverse, printed mark and signed Clarice Cliff and numbered No. 163, height 31cm.
Condition report
Crazed. Very dusty with some minor paint scuffs and marks. There is also some very minor oxidisation visible to the rear of his tail coat in the dark blue enamel and some minor crazing visible to the undecorated white glazed areas.
