Lot 136: Estimate £200-£300

A collection of Indonesian textiles, to include two Ikat Selimuts (ceremonial cloths), the woven panels each decorated with anthropomorphic ancestor figures set within transverse bands to the edges, each hanging from a carved wooden pole, 150cm x 38cm and 170cm x 36cm,  together with a further panel possibly a Hinggi (shoulder or hip cloth), the blue ground rectangular panel woven with stylised geometric designs, 87cm x 37cm. (3)

Condition report
Both ceremonial cloth, have light wear at the edges, however the colours are very vibrant and there are no visible holes or staining Smaller panel, colours are vibrant, small area of staining to one side of the panel, where the colours appear darker.
