A 19th Century enamel necessaire, probably continental, decorated with hand painted cartouche panels, one side with a lady and gentleman in 18th Century dress and to the other two figures before an Italianate landscape, all to a white ground with gilt and enamel scrolls and sprays of flowers, the sprung button hinge opening to reveal fitted interior retaining tweezers, a spoon and a pair of scissors, length 10cm, damaged.

Condition report
There are various hairlines and a star crack to the side with a small fracture. The lid inner has a piece of enamel missing. Rubbed with nibbles to the base.
