A collection of polished agate, plated and horn snuff and pill boxes, to include three oval agate examples, the largest height 3cm and width 9cm, a Sheffield plated box with George II farthing set to the hinged cover, width 7cm, a rectangular horn snuff box inset with white metal and mother of pearl butterfly to the hinged lid, width 7.5cm, and a contemporary silver pill box with enamelled hunting scene to the lid, stamped 925, width 5.5cm, some damage in places. (6)
Condition report
The lid of the horn butterfly box is warped.
The lid of the plated box has lifted slightly to the corners adjacent to the hinge.
Some natural flaws to the agate and some tiny chips / scuffs in places.
