A Chinese late 19th to early 20th Century famille rose jar and cover of baluster form surmounted by a domed rim cover, the body decorated with a series of tendrils issuing aster, chrysanthemum and lotus and Buddhistic emblems, before a blue and yellow ground, unmarked, height 44cm, restored.

Condition report
Restored section to the rim of the cover approx. 8-10cm in size. This area has been overpainted to the underside and top. Small star crack visible half way up the body of the vase, mainly visible from the inside. Several small cracks to the interior and exterior glazes. Small glaze chips to the enamel throughout. Large restored section to the upper rim of the vase, approx. 8cm in size. All restored sections are overpainted.
