An early 20th Century Persian 'Tree of Life' pattern rug, on an oatmeal ground within foliate pattern borders, 201cm x 128cm, some damage and fading

Condition report
Amended condition report - A hanging baton and stitched backing tape has been fixed to one end, as the rug has been in use as a wall hanging. There are a number of stitched repairs to small splits around the edges of the rug - the largest of these is 2cm wide. There is a 4cm wide stitched repair to the trunk of the tree and there is another 2cm wide stitched split about one third of the ay up the left hand side of the tree. There is some wear to the weave of the back - please see additional images. The colours of the rug are more faded to the bottom right hand corner than they are to the bottom left. There is a reference number of 50982 that has been stencilled to one of the corners on the reverse side.
