An Inter-War period finely engraved BSA Lincoln Jeffries .177 calibre under-lever air rifle, number L.27539, with a chequered walnut stock, overall length 101.5cm. Extensively engraved with a scene of Diana the Huntress within acanthus scroll borders and with further scroll work engraving to the lever and trigger guard, titled 'The Birmingham Small Arms Company Limited' to the top of the barrel and 'engraved by P.J. Spode' to the underside of the lever. Complete with a later bespoke red baize lined and perspex display stand within an enclosed glass case. ILLUSTRATED
