Gillies Jones Glass (Stephen Gillies and Kate Jones) - Autumn Field Maple - A free blown cameo glass bowl, triple cased in orange, clear and pink, sand carved with maple leaves, signed and dated 2011, height 22.5 cm by 21 cm. Stephen Gillies and Kate Jones are partners both in art and life, operating from a studio in the village of Rosedale Abbey in the North Yorkshire Moors. Their 'defiantly decorative' work can be found in both public and private collections in the local, national and international arenas. Alongside their prolific art practice, they also undertake prestigious commissions and regularly lecture both overseas and in the UK. Kate is the designer of the pieces, sand carving the pieces with fine decoration.
