A pair of Victorian hallmarked silver comports each modelled as a seated Classical maiden upon an naturalistic base below a fruiting vine and frosted clear glass petal edged bowl, one maiden with a dog in attendance, the other a sheep, both raised on three scroll bark feet detailed with further fruiting vines, possibly Summer and Spring, 33cm high, total weight of silver 152oz, each marked Hunt & Roskill, Late Storr & Mortimer & Hunt to base, London 1846.
