An 18th Century giant ale glass circa 1765, oversized funnel bowl above a double series opaque twist stem with eleven ply spiral outside a central gauze, raised to a conical foot, height 35.5cm. Provenance - This glass was exhibited in the Circle of Glass Collectors Commemorative exhibition in 1962 held at the Victorian and Albert Museum (catalogue ref 264) then also at the Victoria and Albert Exhibition of English Glass in 1968 (catalogue ref 153)
