ELLEN HODGETTS (19TH CENTURY ENGLISH SCHOOL) Oil on canvas Temptation figures with a basket and dead game and companion The Lovers Parting, a pair, signed and dated on verso 1860, 46 cm x 36 cm together with a further study of sheep on a hillside, monogrammed D E H on reverse 15 cm x 25 cm (3) NB It is thought that the pair of works were executed by Ellen Hodgetts daughter of Hodgetts, Richardson and Pargeter who registered glass designs at the Wordsley glass works from 1865-1870
