A Queen Victoria signed waxed commission to John Noble Arbuthnot Freeze for the position of Captain in the Royal Regiment of Artillery at the court at Osborne House the 13th of June 1848 in the twelfth year of her majesty reign, countersigned by the clerk of the ordinance, together with a receipt to General Freeze from the Hotel du Louvre. Mentioned as Lieutenant Colonel n the London Gazette January 2nd 1857.
