Angus McBean - An original Christmas card for 1951 signed to the front in green Angus McBean, London, the card opening to reveal a silver gelatin print noted as one of his first 'Dollies' Christmas cards depicting himself in a striped Edwardian swim suit photographing his collection of posed bathing beauty figures amidst sand and sea shells (see Plate 88, page 123 in Terence Pepper's 'Angus McBean Portraits' 2006 The Monacelli Press, Inc.) together another card issued for Christmas 1955 folded to receive McBean painting the words 'Greetings 1955' in light using a long exposure (in tribute to Picasso and Gjon Mili) with a hand to the bottom left corner holding a studio card reading 'Love from Angus, Best Wishes for Christmas' with 'dear Norman' hand written in black, ILLUSTRATED
