A large 19th Century Cantagalli maiolica twin handled jardiniere, decorated in blue and white to one facia with two Roman type soldiers being attended to by a cherub with Aqu: Scarson beneath, to the reverse with a mythical male and female being attended by two cherubs, the foot rim with cherubs and the upper rim with a border of leaves and the handles formed as grotesque horned creatures, painted mark, height 39cm
