A large late 19th Century Japanese Kutani vase of gourd form, the swollen body decorated with two cartouche panels, the first with four Geishas/ladies stood amidst chrysanthemum in a landscape setting, to the second with eagles perched on similar flowers against a mountainous landscape, the panel sides with panel patterns and mon motif, the border edges with a repeat pattern in gilt and burnt red, eight painted character mark to the base, height 61cm
