An early 19th Century shepherd's horn with brass loop and mouth piece to a natural twist form, the reverse decorated with a figure of a wolf possibly used in the Pyrenees, length 26cm. These horns were used by shepherds to warn each other across valleys of the possible danger of wolves or pending attack.
