A pair of large 19th Century Wedgwood black basalt water jugs 'Sacred to Bacchus' and 'Sacred to Neptune', after the 1775 original by John Flaxman Snr, Bacchus modelled sat upon the neck holding the horns of a ram with trailing grape vines, Neptune holding the fins of fish with foliate wreaths below, both raised to affixed square plinths impressed Wedgwood, height 44cm, S/D.
