A Chinese archaistic bronze gui, the two handled bowl with deep foot ring, rounded bowl and everted rim, the body cast in relief with a two pairs of taotie masks of stylised dragons with raised spines and protruding eyes, each facing one another and separated by leiwen or thunder coils, two C-shaped handles each cast with an animal head with protruding ears and eyes, and a wide rimmed mouth, intaglio engraved handles and large hooked pendants, the foot ring with further scrolling dragon decoration, the whole with thread engraved ground, twelve character etched marks to the interior, width 19cm x height 15cm, A/F
