Gordon Forsyth - Pilkingtons - A large early 20th Century vase of bulbous form with a flared collar neck, the body decorated with alternate heraldic shields with lions and eagles in gold and red with lustre foliate scrolls and tall poplar trees against a cream ground, the neck with a wrythen foliate pattern, the base painted with a poplar tree and grasses with impressed mark alongside artist monogram with date code for 1906, height 43cm. NB - This could have been made an as exhibition piece for the Belgian Exhibition of 1906.
