An 18th Century drinking glass circa 1740, flared trumpet bowl above a plain stem with internal tear, raised to a conical foot, the bowl later engraved with an oval cartouche panel with a portrait of Samuel Johnson with scrolls, books and quills opposing, height 19cm.
