Two 18th Century Delft 'Boy Flasks' each of footed globe and shaft form with twin side handles and a ribbed collar neck, each decorated with 'boy' in blue over the white grey slip, tallest 18.5cm It is believed these bottles where purchased as presents for a good boy' and where used as a feeding bottle to give infants pap. Pap was a thick liquid made by cooking flour or bread in water, sometimes with the addition of milk.
