An early 18th Century walnut and marquetry inlaid longcase clock by Robert Halsted (Halstead) London, the eleven inch square dial with silvered chapter ring and gilt cherub corner spandrels, eight day six pillar striking movement with subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture and pull key hole adjustable covers, enclosed by a pillared caddy top above a long trunk door inlaid with oval panels of birds and flowering branches centred by a green glass bullseye within a crossbanded and feather banded panel on canted plinth and bracket feet, height 238cm For makers reference see G.H Ballie Clock Makers Of The World.
