A 19th Century Cantonese carved ivory brise fan 'Thousand Faces', the leaf decorated on both sides with Manchu court figures in interiors each with applied painted ivory faces and some with applied woven silk garments, pierced and carved sticks, the sticks 28cm long, guards carved in high relief, the whole contained within original painted and silk lined gilt lacquered box, length 31.5cm long.
