A large Moorcroft Pottery vase of footed form known as the 'Absentee Pot' designed by Sian Leeper, signed to the base and numbered 4, impressed marks, height 27cm The Absentee Pot was awarded to an employee in the production departments, on the day the factory closed for Christmas, who had not been absent all year. If a number of staff had not been absent all names were put into a hat and one picked out, it was awarded to a different member of staff each year. This has been confirmed by Moorcroft Pottery.
