HOWEY (20TH CENTURY BRITISH) - Annihilation, of suffragette interest, a black ink illustration heightened in Chinese white depicting a donkey or ass running from a tree, with the initials A.S.S to its back, having disturbed a wasps nest initialled W.S.P.U hanging from a tree entitled Women's Rights, with the written verse below 'The members of the Women's Social & Political Union are popularily (sic) known as 'The Wasps'. Their opponents of the Anti-Suffrage Society are unfortunate in their initials', signed, unframed, 22.5cm x 28.5cm
