A 19th Century American cast iron 'Tammany Bank' money box modelled in the form of a seated portly gentleman with nodding head and one arm across his chest, the other arm pocketing a penny into his top pocket, based on William 'Boss' Tweed who was accused of taking bribes from New York City Contractors, and was later tried and convicted, impressed Tammany Bank to each side and impressed Patented June 8th 1875 to the base, height 14cm, ILLUSTRATED
