An 18th or 19th Century Sino-Tibetan gilt bronze shrine to Vajrabhairava, one of the principal meditational deities of the Gelug school which became a dominant religious power in Tibet in the 17th Century. Cast embracing his consort Vajravetali, amidst his thirty-four arms and sixteen legs, before flaming aureole and raised on a double lotus base, constructed in several parts, height 30cm.
