A George III pair cased pocket watch with Roman and Arabic numerals to a white enamelled dial, ruby set cock above verge escapement and back plate engraved J, Johnson, London, the outer case engraved with a ship below Mabella Truest, hallmarked 1781.
The Mabella Truest was a merchantman of 300 tone built in Norway in 1777, owned by N. Moe she is recorded as trading between London and Gibraltar under Capt L. Hanson.

Condition report
Movement running, there is a chip to the dial at 8 and further scuff marks to the dial, cases both generally good but the steel clasp pin is showing through the outer case and the side button is worn to the top.
