GEORGE HENRY DEWSBERRY (1859-1939) - A collection of watercolour floral designs for ceramic plates and tiles, several signed, 31cm x 25cm and smaller, approximately fifty mounted in a ring bound file.

G. H. Dewsberry was a talented ceramic artist. He attended The Burslem School of Art from the age of 13. George and his brother David were employed at the Doulton Factory factory before starting a business decorating tiles with another artist from Doultons, F. Bates. Founded in 1896 in Hanley and boasting royal patronage, Bates, Dewsberry and Co made high end encaustic tiles which were exported throughout the world.

Condition report
all are stuck to loose leaves by their corners. Overall essentially good condition, majority a little grubby through handling. Some are stained to edges, many have light foxing
