A George III oak fall-front bureau, the fall opening to reveal a fitted interior with an arrangement of pigeon holes and drawers, further fitted below with two short over three long drawers and raised to shallow bracket feet, some later repairs, height 102cm, width 108cm and depth when closed 50cm and open 90cm, S/D.

Condition report
Has at some point been repolished. There is no key. The hinges to the fall front have been repaired.the leather inset writing surface is later replaced. One of the small drawers to the interior is missing. The hinges to the central cabinet door of the interior have been replaced. Numerous ink marks to the interior. Vertical splits to both sides. An old nailed repair to the top of each of these splits. Replacement brass drop handles. Bracket feet OK.
