A large Regency crystal Davenport Patent Storm lantern, circa 1800, the crystal base having a circular radial cut foot rising to a hollow blown and prism cut column with gilt metal gallery mounts decorated with applied stiff leaves and a Greek key border, the bell form lantern etched with a biblical scene possibly depicting St Matthew and the Angel to a landscape setting with a kneeling Centurion in attendance, all within Grecian style key and anthemion borders, height 53.5cm.
