A late 20th Century Danny Lane (B.1955) float glass console table circa 1999 titled Variable Form, of two-tier form with irregular polished edges, on float glass stacked supports, signed to the body, height 90 cm, width 179cm and depth 54cm at the widest points.

Notes - This piece was exhibited and purchased from an exhibition held by Mallets at Bourdon House in London. Working mostly with the concept of furniture, Lane's pieces meld classic ideals with modern techniques which create unique and stunning pieces. The table comes complete with the catalogue which includes over thirty full color plates, each accompanied by a brief description of their purpose or design. Also includes the essays "The Historical Background to Glass Furniture" by John P. Smith, and "Danny Lane's Glass" by Jennifer H. Opie.
