A Kangxi period (1662-1722) 'Cafe au lait' dish, the circular deep welled dish with brown glaze to the exterior sides, the interior sparsely painted in cobalt blue with flowering tendrils, marked to base with pair of fish (shuang yu), one of the eight Buddhist Emblems and symbol of marital bliss, in a double circle, with paper label to base, diameter 20.5cm, together with a similar bowl with cafe au lait ground to the exterior, with Kangxi peach mark to base, height 7cm, S/D.

Condition report
Dish Scratching to interior well hairline crack visible to base, approx, 8cm in length. Minor patchy yellowing to the glaze. Bowl Large fingernail chip to the rim. Hairline crack to rim extending vertically approx. 6cm in length.
